You can be working in QuickBooks when scheduled reports are set to run, but the file cannot be in "Multi-User" mode.If you're using Outlook for your email, it must be open at the time the Scheduled Report is sent.The Company file from which the reports are scheduled must be set to use Outlook or Webmail. You cannot use the QuickBooks Email Service.While Scheduled Reports will run even if QuickBooks is closed on your computer, your computer must be "on." It must not be asleep or in hibernation mode.Here are some things to remember about using Scheduled Reports in QuickBooks 2017: Rather than setting reminders to send reports from QuickBooks, Scheduled Reports enables you to set-up a report schedule in QuickBooks, which will generate and send the report automatically. Scheduled Reports uses the Microsoft Task Scheduler. Scheduled Reports, an entirely new feature for QuickBooks 2017, is intended to automate the sending of reports from QuickBooks in an effort to streamline your workflow and day-to-day business activities. In this series, we'll review the new and enhanced features in QuickBooks (desktop) 2017, beginning with this First Look at: They should be just as comfortable with the new version, despite changes and enhancements, as they were with their older version. It also means that users on earlier versions of QuickBooks will find it easy to transition. QuickBooks 2017 appears to be focused on helping small businesses "run their business" with even greater ease, as many of the enhancements are aimed at saving businesses valuable time on the things they do most often. This year's enhancements seem to target customers. In the third year of a three-year cycle, it will target technological changes. In another year, it will key in on accountants (bookkeepers and ProAdvisors). One year, it will focus on enhancements for day-to-day users. Over the years, we have noticed a trend with who QuickBooks targets with its new versions. While the formal product launch will take place on Monday, Sept. 19, they have made information available, so we can begin giving you the "scoop" on the new features, enhancements and changes prior to the time the product starts appearing via the various sales channels. Intuit has begun the roll-out of QuickBooks 2017.
